2021 Subaru Forester with Primitive Racing Lift, Body Armor Hiline Bumper and Warn Industries AXON 55-S Winch.

Design is Everything, so is Quality

Design is everything, but so is quality. This is the main reason I decided to go with a Primitive Racing Lift. As someone who used to be in professional Motorsports 2 decades ago, I can really appreciate a company that has racing roots. I wouldn’t say it’s a soft spot for a company, but I know what goes into putting your name on product, then backing it up on track. A lot of R&D goes into these things and well, I just like products that are really tested.

Back in November 2022 I reached out to a few manufacturers to get more information regarding their Subaru Forester lifts. I asked them all the same question and in the end, I chose to go with Primitive Racing. Mainly because of the in-depth response I received from Kiersten.

Why I went with Primitive Racing

For me, it’s all about customer service and knowing who you’re doing business with. I emailed all the vendors I was considering and received some good responses. Most were like “yeah, our kit rocks and you’ll love it”, a few didn’t respond at all. But Kiersten from Primitive Racing took the time to address all my questions, provide some feedback and recommendations.

THIS is how you win over customers, by providing excellent support and take the time to interact with customers. I believe Kiersten addressed all my concerns and sold me on their kit for my personal needs. All I gotta say is this, if you’re considering upgrading your Subie, I would consider giving Primitive Racing a call or dropping them an email. More about my decision and thought process below.

Build photos and suprising gas mileage after a 3800 roadtrip loaded down with gear

To say I am pleased with how my Subaru Forester came out would be an understatement. After a 3,800+ mile roadtrip that took us from Texas to Saguaro National Park, Death Valley National Park, the Mojave Desert, Joshua Tree National Park and lastly Tonto National Forest, I can say I love how it rides, looks and perfoms. The Primitive Racing lift perfectly compliments the Body Armor front bumper and helps with that extra weight from the Warn Industries Winch. I’ll try to do a separate write-up about the bumper and winch at a later time.

Here are some additional photos of the build and also that awesome gas mileage with the car loaded down. I’m talking about loaded down. 23.2 MPG with gear while in the mountains, camping, going thru a few blizzards, yeah, I dig it.

Photos of my Subaru Forester NOT loaded down.

After a 3,800+ mile long road trip. A good wash was in order. This also really helps show the stance with the Primitive Racing 1.25″ life now that it’s not loaded down.
